Olive-backed sunbird leaf-bathing after the haze [Video]

Singapore has been facing horrible haze due to the burning of forests in Sumatra, Indonesia and we did not see many birds in our garden for several days. Today the haze was less. When we watered the plants, this little sunbird came to enjoy itself in the water droplets on the leaves!

This is the olive-backed sunbird leaf-bathing and preening itself on the frangipani tree in our rooftop garden:

After its bath, it flew to the bougainvillea plant, dried itself and basked in the sun! What a relief after the haze!

I hope the haze goes away, and all the birds come back to our garden!
