BWC- Dove and Dewdrops (Day 3)

As we near the end of the year, the rains have showered us with cool, windy days after the hot and dry summer months. It has also showered the birds and animals with happiness, as they drink and bathe in the fresh rainwater.

A Spotted Dove (Spilopelia chinensis) sits majestically on a railing after getting soaked in a storm. I love that this picture captures the dewdrops on the railing so it leaves an indication that it has rained.

Spotted Doves are incredibly confident and curious, and will not fly away if you go near. It only gets afraid by sudden movements. This dove was extremely observant and sat on the railing for at least five minutes, ruffling its feathers and occasionally looking at me.
