BWC- Lime Butterfly (Day 4)

A widespread urban butterfly in Singapore is the Lime Butterfly. It’s exquisite colours is bound to catch anyone’s eye. I posted this picture on Facebook a while ago to ID the species, and was shocked to know it was so common. I thought it was a rare species, and I was seeing it for the first time in my own garden!

Most butterflies are known for their bright colours and beautiful wings.

I converted this picture to black and white and I realised the patterns on it’s wings was accentuated much more. Sometimes, the beauty of something can be brought out through simplicity.
