to be human

to be human
in an age of algorithms and a virtual attention economy
happiness is in claiming who you are
joy in the flower who blooms slowly
the trees are dancing to the wind’s beat, can’t you see?
they laugh at your haste to control, track and manipulate
your race to space
a wisdom innate radiates through rugged wrinkles of the tree trunks
the dragonfly in the riverbank flies in ecstasy, cage-free
while a waterhen is uni-tasking
the only thing on her to-do list is to catch a worm for her chick
to be human
you are just where you need to be
you have everything you need to be
disconnect, rest, stop to remember who you are
